#thesoulpractice founder and a movement enthusiast!
I accidentally found my deeper love for yoga after I had my daughter and my only form of exercise in those early months was a yoga mat and my living room floor. I had always been an in-studio practitioner and the attachment I formed to my at home practice was next to none. I craved it every day. Every nap time I hit my mat. Re-learning how to feel at home in my body and getting to know myself on such a deeper level.
I had never found a movement practice that set my soul on fire, until I found yoga, meditation and free movement.
Self-development & personal growth have always been a main interest of mine. I have an education in Psychology and am so fascinated by the connection between our minds and the physical body. How we hold our experiences, how we approach ourselves, our triggers and our relationships – which in turn creates the entirety of our life experience.
In 2019 my Sister, Charlize, passed away suddenly and it stripped away so much of my foundation and my identity. All of the tools I had built up until that point were non-existent and my life took a series of domino effects for the next few years afterwards where my mental health and my connection to who I was really suffered. My yoga practice was my biggest healer and still is.
If you look closely within this space, you will see her.
Our badge above is of her and I, but most importantly it represents Women. Inclusivity. Connection. Sisterhood. Empowerment. and Belonging.
This is what inspired me to become a teacher and to share what I love.
I’m trained in vinyasa flow, yin yoga, mandala flow, meditation, breath-work, prenatal & mobility. I have a lot of fun with my sequencing which I’m sure you’ll love! It’s creative, strong, soft & intuitive.
If you’re unsure whether the Soul Practice is for you, just read what our members have to say about it below!
I can’t wait to share this space with you and hopefully one day we get to meet in person too!
