Living.

Just when you think you’ve settled and done a ton of the work to be where you are, things shift and life offers you the opportunity to spiral or grow once again.  I’ve been candid and open within this community & the people that connect with me here in these squares or this site of my life over the past few years.  I think it is so important to show more than just the highlights so that people know they aren’t alone in what they are going through, and in return when we share parts of our stories that we want to share (key point here – the things YOU decide you want to share. Not everyone gets to know your story – how and what we share is up to us), but we can become empowered by being open, creating our own communities and support as well as learning to navigate the waters of our experience.

Last year at this time I felt like I had really done the work to rebuild, I was confident and worked hard to find a home & a lifestyle that allowed me to be a mom, start a business and work full time. Fast forward a little over a year later and a lot of what I had attached my security & ‘new’ identity to is changing – things don’t always go as planned and we are constantly reminded to release control and attachment to let things unfold the way they need to.  SO much harder said than done amiright.

I’m back in the position of needing to pivot, rebuilding certain areas again and needing to make decisions to keep creating a life that I love, by sacrificing some of my comfort and without letting my ego get in my way. (oooofta) I was talking about this a few weeks ago to a friend and said “I am so proud of what i’ve built over the last year and it feels like that’s all getting taken away again and I need to keep restarting. I feel like I’m going through another huge loss.”   What was said back to me has really stuck with me and I keep coming back to it as I figure out what I need to do.. “You aren’t losing anything. You are just living. Living is all about finding yourself over and over again until you are where you need to be. You get to take everything you’ve done over the past few years with you into the next thing – even if it doesn’t feel as exciting, you aren’t losing anything, you are just living.”

We are all just living. Doing better when we know better and learning all about ourselves along the way. Allowing these transitions from one phase of life to the next to be as smooth as they can be. Our perspective and openness to opportunity makes 100% of the difference.

To love someone long-term is to attend a thousand funerals of the people they used to be – Heidi Priebe

I wanted to share this because none of us are exempt of the curveballs or lessons that life has to offer. But instead of attaching a story & a meaning to what’s happening (which is exactly what I’ve done for the past two months) try taking a step back and seeing that you are just living. I don’t believe everything happens for a reason – sometimes things can’t be explained and there is no silver lining – but sometimes life is offering you a better route by putting a roadblock in your way.

We are all just living.

And while we are living, we are going to experience a lot of different emotions that need to be moved through. That’s what this month’s theme is all about. Everyday can feel a bit different, we can feel a bit different and what we need to show up as our best changes too.

Somedays we can’t calm our nerves or get out of our own way, somedays we need a quick shift in perspective or energy to tackle the next task or make the next big move, other days we can’t sleep, sometimes we get burnt out and most – we need strength.

This months class line up offers you a bit of everything to hit your mat no matter what’s happening within your life.

Things can get full – but being able to dance within chaos or being open to the next big thing is what makes the experience such an adventure.
